This is one of those walking Treasure Hunts you buy off the internet and print off as many instruction sheets as you need.
8 members gathered together and worked in pairs. There is no time limit so the trail is not a race so we all strolled around on a hot sunny Sunday afternoon on our quest to find where the treasure of Captain Lee Keevessle was hidden. Each clue removed place names from the treasure map. At the end there will be only one place name left and there lies the treasure.
After the hunt we went to a coffee bar for a well earned cuppa and food. The winner was defined and then we all went on our merry ways home having enjoyed our day. Thank you Mary.

Annual Skittles Match
Thursday 18th June 2026
This was the 20th annual skittles match between the 2 clubs.
The prize, a little silver cup. Over the years Plymouth had won the cup 10 times and Exeter 9. Not that we are competitive of course. The point of the evening was to socialize with each other; after all we are Social Clubs.
Exeter club hosted the event at the Totnes Rugby Football Club and had arranged a hot and cold buffet which was superb, many members helping themselves to second helpings.
The match started and by the end of the 1st leg Exeter was ahead on points, by the end of the second leg Plymouth had taken the lead. Then we had food after which we started the third and final game. Exeter started out well enough but Plymouth was more consistent with their scoring and sadly Exeter could not match their determination to win.

The Dawlish Ditto Trail
What are the ditto's I hear you ask.
The ditto's are magical beings who live in these houses around dawlish. So nine intrepid explorers from Exeter IVC set out to see if we could find all their houses. We were supplied with a map of the town which indicated where you could find the houses so long as the dittos hadn't moved them. We were charged with finding all 77 houses.
As this is not a competition we could take our time so arranged coffee breaks and Sunday lunch at the Brunswick Arms. All in all a fun day out.
The Dittos were originally characters in bedtime stories created by David Hardie for his son. In 2021 after recovering from a serious illness, david passed the time in lockdown by carving miniature houses out of wood. Joined by his sister, Diana Townsend, the project blossomed into a community effort. Local businesses and volunteers helped install brackets, wiring, and solar lights. The trail now features 77 hand crafted houses hidden throughout Dawlish to promote local businesses and tourism.
